Perché archiviamo i sistemi legacy?
Implementati per decenni, i cosiddetti “sistemi legacy (legacy systems)” rallentano i processi informatici in azienda. Molto è cambiato dall’implementazione del sistema legacy in termini di tecnologia utilizzata. Anche le condizioni di mercato e i requisiti per le aziende stanno cambiando rapidamente. Sfortunatamente, questi sistemi legacy spesso gestiscono processi business-critical e hanno interfacce non standardizzate. Sostituire i sistemi legacy o addirittura adattarli in modo flessibile alle nuove condizioni può essere una sfida speciale. Allo stesso tempo, generano costi di manutenzione, mentre la documentazione del sistema è piuttosto scarsa. Può diventare un problema soprattutto quando i dipendenti, che conoscevano bene il sistema, non sono più impiegati.

Analisi del sistema
All’inizio viene condotta un’analisi del sistema.
