¿Por qué archivamos los sistemas legacy?
Usualmente implementados hace décadas, los llamados “sistemas legacy (legacy systems)” ralentizan los procesos de TI en la empresa. Mucho ha cambiado desde la implementación del sistema legacy en términos de la tecnología utilizada. Las condiciones del mercado y los requisitos para las empresas también están cambiando rápidamente. Desafortunadamente, estos sistemas legacy a menudo administran procesos críticos para el negocio y tienen interfaces no estandarizadas. Reemplazar los sistemas legacy o incluso adaptarlos de manera flexible a las nuevas condiciones puede ser un desafío especial.
